Alicia DeCastro, who opened her coffee shop Fundati in Lincoln last fall during the pandemic, said she’s also seen an uptick in customers this year.

Nestled in the heart of Lincoln, Fundati Coffee serves more than just coffee, it offers a unique experience to those who journey through its doors. The shop’s name, “Fundati” comes from the Latin word meaning “to be grounded; stable.” Not only do the coffee beans Fundati brews and serves come from the ground, its owner, Alicia, has created a space where visitors can feel grounded—a place to “Find Your Fundati.”

DeCastro, whose running resume includes her time with the La Salle Academy and Elon University running programs, took the women’s title with ease.

Now brewing in Lincoln, Fundati has opened to the public, serving specialty coffees and other treats, at 1525 Old Louisquisset Pike.

Work is underway on a new specialty coffee shop at the Limerock Retail Center.
