Cold Brew Who?

Ever wonder what goes into Rhode Island’s Best Iced Coffee? Dive in for the details!

To start, yes, we serve cold brew, which is different than

regular iced coffee.

Can they be bucketed together? Yes, of course, it is all brewed coffee over ice at its simplest. The brew method is the main differentiator, then the choice of bean roast and water to coffee ratio all will affect differences in taste as well. Our goal with our “iced coffee” is for everyone to experience the fullest possible taste and get the caffeine kick they came in for as well.

Our choice in brew to meet this goal? Cold brew.

Bean choice? We roast our own beans in house, on our zero emission roaster, then blend multiple origins and roast profiles together. We switch up the origins a bit depending on the season and bean availability, but we love to keep a mix of Brazil, Peru and one other secret weapon in house for our cold brew blend.

Lastly, our brewing method. Every cup of cold brew served is slow dripped in Yama towers. These towers come in two sizes. We showcase both throughout the walls of our shop and they double up as art for everyone to view. Our team spends a good chunk of time each morning and afternoon carefully setting these towers with fresh ground beans in the center, filtered water and ice on top, and ensuring the drips per second are precise.
